We call it El Nido (Spanish for The Nest) as it feels like you are nestled in the trees as a nest would be. From its lofty views overlooking the heart of Kootenay Lake, your heart will soar and your spirit and thoughts take flight while you sit as safe and comfortable as a bird in its nest.
Totally private - it has been home to meditation retreats and sanctuary for many years, and you will feel this peace and energy immediately upon entering.........''inspirational, inspiring and amazing" are words often heard.

There is a beautiful new kitchen with stainless stove and work areas where you can cook inspired by the view of lake and mountains. The bathroom has hand made tiled steam room and large soker tub that gives one the impression of floating above the lake whilst bathing. Large outdoor decks have ample room for entertaining and sunbathing ,whilst the shaded pond and waterfall create a soothing and peaceful place to sit and enjoy the ample bird life and afternoon shade. All beds now have memory foam mattresses and high-count cotton sheets. WiFi broadband is now available.

"EL-NIDO" VACATION HOUSE is 20 mins south of Kaslo and a 30 minutes scenic drive to Nelson, 5 minutes from the Kootenay Lake ferry and the golf course and stores of Balfour. Although once there, you might not want to go anywhere!!!!!!
It is an ideal space for a honeymoon or romantic retreat,the writers or artists to get in touch with their  muse, or the meditators inspiration.The two smaller rooms, one  with a loft also makes it an ideal small family get away.
